Daniel-Randall Veterinary Clinic hosted a low-cost spay and neuter clinic for local dogs and cats on Tuesday, January 12, 2016.
With the support of Hope Animal Rescues in Godfrey, we were able to spay and neuter 28 dogs and cats, including ferals, foster pets, and dogs and cats whose owners could not afford the surgery at the full cost. Three veterinarians, four technicians, and two support staff members helped make these procedures possible.
"We were excited to take part in this opportunity," said Dr. Jennifer Drescher, Co-Chief of Staff at Daniel-Randall Veterinary Clinic. "This day gave us the chance to interact with owners and pets who otherwise might have never had access to safe veterinary care. We couldn’t have done it without Hope Animal Rescues."
Co-Chief of Staff Dr. Thorin Lindstrom adds, "All of our doctors and staff worked so hard and were thrilled to take part in this opportunity to give back."
Spaying and neutering provides many health benefits for pets, and also helps reduce the number of stray and shelter animals in the community. Daniel-Randall Veterinary Clinic works with Hope Animal Rescues year-round to give discounted procedures to abandoned or homeless dogs in the Godfrey, IL area.
